Happy Mother’s Day and Thank You

Thank you to all our wonderful Friends who came to see us and give us such kind and needed care as we learn how to miss our Odysseus. We appreciate you so much.

A very sleepy Piewhackits

Daddy's Mother. Her name is Nettie, but to me she will always be Memeer. Today is also her birthday. She was born on May 8, in 1899. I miss her.

Pungy. Mommy to "The Three Kittens", Piewhackits, Odysseus and Sneaky Pie. An excellent Mommy Cat to her kittens even after they were grown. My heart smiles that we were able to keep them all together.

We send hugs and love to everyone and wish a Happy Mother's Day to everybody.

For Odysseus

My mother had breathing problems.  Fluid was accumulating because of the occluded valve in her heart.  She had to go hospital, but thankfully is now back “home” in extended care. 

Just as we were getting my mother sorted out, our tiny tuxy kitty girl, Odysseus, all of a sudden got sick.  Really very sick.  We did everything we could but in just a couple of days, she died. The Bridge lit up, and she went across it.  She was extremely close to my son, Chris.  She took her last breaths in his arms in the same spot and room she took her first breaths in.  And where he’d sit on the floor with Pungy and her three baby kittens.  I can’t believe Pungy is gone and now so are two of her kittens.  We only have Piewhackits and Oliver now.  It hurts so much.

Ann, at Zoolatry, kindly made this for us, for Odysseus. Although she was a girl, she earned her name by being the first of the three kittens to bravely leave their room, and come downstairs all by herself. Our brave little tiny tuxy girl with the itty bitty pink paws, nothing but sweetness and love.

While helping us with Angel updates to our photos, Ann at Boolatry, surprised us with this fantastic costume for Angel Sneaky Pie! We LOVE it! We can proper Trick or Treat now. Thank you, Ann.

For funs, we found this super cute lion! Can't you just hear that roar?!?! We bet he gets lots of treats!

Monday Sparks on Tuesday

Yup, Tuesday.

Thank you, Sharon, FriendsFurEver" for inspiring me with your “Monday Sparks” posts. McGuffy’s, who was hosting the Sparks, is on hiatus. She says “I truly do believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. There is hope. Together, we can light up the entire world!” That's something I can agree with. Even if I'm a day late. How I spark best:

Thunderstorms on Friday

We had thunderstorms here complete with warnings and sirens and everything! All of us sat for a while in the downstairs bath that is under the stairs. Odysseus stayed glued to my son, and Oliver napped. He’s rarely bothered by much. Piewhackits, of course, found a toy to play with. Sirens wailing, storm winds blowing, and she finds a toy. She’s always been like that, she loves toys. But she made me think, no matter how bad it seems, she always finds a toy and plays, Oliver naps, and Odysseus just goes about being herself. Wonder if they could teach me to cook better too? :-D

Naturally, during tense times, I turn to my drawing. This is what came of waiting out this storm. I hope you enjoy it.

Creating, Sharing the Light

Thank you, Ann at Zoolatry, for giving our now Angels their halos. We miss them and their departure for the Rainbow Bridge hurts a lot like sometimes its hard to just breathe.

I'm not so brilliant with words. Often, its hard for me to find the right ones to use. I think that's why I draw or take phots as much as I do. I like Sharon Keenan Spiegelhalter’s FriendsFurEver" inspiration for her “Monday Sparks” posts. I know all the darkness in the world and in social media has had a detrimental effect on me, especially during times already very difficult. So, I’m sharing some of what I’ve been doing to make a little light. Thank you, Sharon. (#30daysofflowers, #johannabasford, Day 6)

McGuffy's Reader Week 76: October 20, 2017

1. If I was a ghost, I would haunt cat toy factories and play with all the toys all the time (Piewhackits).

2. I always run to the kitchen when I hear what might be a Temptations bag crinkling (Sneaky Pie).

3. My favourite scary story is “We Might be Out of Kibble” (Everyone).

4. I will be so glad when Mumsy gets the Temptations treats out for us (Everyone).

It was Laila and Minchie!

Hi everyone! Sneaky Pie here on a Mancat Monday, hoping everyone is enjoying a labor-free Labor Day!

And hey! We finally got our commenting going again. It was Laila and Minchie who fixed our problem with not being able to leave comments! When we clicked to leave a comment at their blog, a prompt to log in and stuff came up. After we did it, we could leave comments all over the place! Its Only Been Forever

Well, it has! Its only been forever since we’ve done a post here! Oliver and Piewhackits are so disgusted…its been a whole year!

Good thing the blog does not get as dusty as the house does.

We’ve missed all our wonderful friends. Hugs and love to you all.

P.S., We've been having a lot of trouble with Blogger and leaving comments. When I click on "Publish" the comment just goes away. I don't know how to fix it. A lot of our visits to blogs don't get comments from us then. When I can, I try and leave a comment on Facebook at the link to a post. Sorry, guys :-(
