Our New Look

 

Hello ev-furry-body!

We gots us a new look!  And we be so proud of it!

Thanks to super wonderful and very talented Lady Ann and her sweet, beautiful, girls over at Zoolatry, we are looking good now!

We be so happy with our new “home” here.  Miss Lady Ann fixed us up a beautiful new banner.  She even custom made us our lovely colorful background.  Lady Ann got us all organized, synchronized, feeling and looking good!  We just wuz it all so much!  Each of us even has a little individual showcase over on the right side where we can all show off.  We got some special pages now too: a Purr Page, We Remember You, and a Celebrations page!  We are looking forward to filling that Celebrations page up!

Speaking of Celebrations, we want to thank everyone who came to Pungy’s Birthday Party.  (We would have thanked everyone sooner, but we got distracted in our remodeling and having fun.)  That day was the most company we’ve ever had.  So we want to give big (((hugs))) to everyone who came and thank you so much!  You sure made Pungy one very happy kitty.

And, by the end of the day, we had 40 visitors, so we are going to be sending $20 to the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee.  Seeing as how we got seven kitty birthdays a year, that’s seven more times a year we can help the Itty Bitty Kitties out.  We felt like we could live with that.   =^~^=

We gots Non-Noms like crazy!

We love Seafood at our house, so we laid it on ah-plenty!   We even gots Salmon steaks – you can has it as it is, get CatDaddy to puts it on the grill for you – and for our adventures friends, we even gots some in the swimmer so you can catch your own!

We gots all kinds of refreshments!  Of course we got fizzy waters and sodas if you wants the bubbles to tickly your whiskers too.  There are special nice servers just waiting to help you get your purr on!  Our pawrents found this guy, he’s an expert on –tini making.  Although, he kinda seems to prefer shaking them instead of stirring them.  Still, he sure makes some good ones!

And no worry to our young friends, all these refreshments, even all the –tinis are available in the Itty Bitty Kitty version.  No one’s gonna be left out!
We even gots movies in our cat-theater!  We tried to pick some to suit everyone and every age!

We also gots toys, nip, and places to get comfy for Ev-furry-body!

And of course, what’s a birthday without a cake?

(Don’t count doze candles, okay?  We didn’t know how to get two of them off there.)

We just want to say a very Happy Birthday to our Pungy – MommyCat to Piewhackits, Sneaky Pie and Odysseus.  You brightened our life when you chose to come live with us and have your babies here.
And we want everyone to have a super good time at the party today.  Thank you all, for how welcome you have made us feel here at the Cat Blogosphere.  We’ve sure made some wonderful friends that we wuz very much.
One last thing, maybe you noticed our Mumsy added on a special tag to our blogginer for The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee.

We dis wuz them.  So for every comment that gets left here today on Pungy’s Happy Birthday Post, we gonna donate $0.50 to them.  (We wanted to say $10.00 for each one, but CatDaddy looked a little crazy when we did so we had to back off that.)
We dis hope everyone has fun, and has a super good day!  And Happy Birthday to all the other Wonderful Ones having birthdays today too!

It’s On Wednesday, Everybody!

Hi Ev-furry-body!  Extra excited Hellos to Everyone!
Tomorrow Pungy is going to be four years old!  And we are having a birthday part for her!  It’s the first birthday party we’ve ever thrown like this so we are just sooooo excited!
We hope ev-furry-body and everyone comes back tomorrow and has some funs with us.  We know we hasn’t been on the Cat Blogosphere anywhere near as long as a lot of our friends.  But in the short time we been here, we’ve made some truly fine and wonderful friends we just wuz so much.  We just want to say a happy birthday to our Pungy, and thank everyone who has made us feel so welcome here.

We hope everybody has a happy Tuesday.  And we’ll be so glad to see ev-furry-one and everybody who comes to the party tomorrow!

Mancat Monday - SneakyPie and Sunspots

It’s been so hot, Mumsy has kept the curtains all closed up tight.  Not many sunpuddles make it in.  But thanks to some holes someone(s)… made in the curtains… on one of the the kitty windows… a few sunspots make it in!  Naturally, SneakyPie is the one to find them.

Well, Piewhackits got hers a headache from bumping against the window trying to catch the big red bird in the backyard.  Oliver had him a big week meowing through the door to the cats in the outside.   Domino, for the first time, got into the basket that’s on top of the shelves!  And Pungy cleaned out the refrigerator.  No, really she did.  While Mumsy was cooking, Pungy helped herself to some leftovers on the bottom shelf.  That’s how our week is wrapping up  here at our house.  And we gotta say, we sure are glad this week is wrapped!

Happy Weekend Everybody!

We got ours going on.  Domino is doing his weekend lounge.

And Odysseus and SneakyPie have got theirs well under way already!

If you haven’t read it yet, you gotta go see Marg's Pets new “Don't Mess Wif Your Kitty Post.”  It was Mr. Puddy's, “Don't Mess With Your Kitty Post” that started it all.

We have no doubt everyone has seen this before, but we just could NOT pass this opportunity up!

How to Give a Cat a Pill in 20 Easy Steps

1. Sit on sofa. Pick up cat and cradle it in the crook of your elbow as though you were going to give a bottle to a baby. Talk softly to it.
2. With right hand, position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. (be patient) As cat opens mouth pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow. Drop pill into mouth. Let go of cat, noticing the direction it runs.
3. Pick the pill up off the floor and go get the cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process. Sit on floor in kitchen, wrap arm around cat as before, drop pill in mouth. Let go of cat, noticing the direction it runs.
4. Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away. Scoot across floor to pick up pill, and go find the cat. Bring it back into the kitchen. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten. Drop pill into mouth.
5. Pry claws from back legs out of your arm. Go get the cat, pick up half-dissolved pill from floor and drop it into garbage can.
6. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of closet. Call spouse from backyard. Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.
7. Retrieve cat from curtain rod, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered Doulton figures from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.
8. Get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.
9. Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink glass of water to take taste away. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.
10. Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with rubber band.
11. Fetch screwdriver from garage and put door back on hinges. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus shot. Throw T-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.
12. Call fire department to retrieve cat from tree across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take another pill from foil wrap.
13. Tie cat's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed, force cat's mouth open with small spanner. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of fillet steak. Hold head vertically and pour one cup of water down throat to wash pill down.
14. Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call at furniture shop on way home to order new table.
15. Get last pill from bottle. Go into bathroom and get a fluffy towel. Stay in the bathroom with the cat, and close the door.
16. Sit on bathroom floor, wrap towel around kitty, leaving only his head exposed. Cradle kitty in the crook of your arm, and pick up pill off of counter.
17. Retrieve cat from top of shower door (you didn't know that cats can jump 5 feet straight up in the air, did you?), and wrap towel around it a little tighter, making sure its paws can't come out this time. With fingers at either side of its jaw, pry it open and pop pill into mouth. Quickly close mouth (his, not yours).
18. Sit on floor with cat in your lap, stroking it under the chin and talking gently to it for at least a half hour, while the pill dissolves.
19. Unwrap towel, open bathroom door. Wash off scratches in warm soapy water, comb your hair, and go find something to occupy your time for 7-1/2 hours.
20. Arrange for SPCA to get cat and call local pet shop to see if they have any hamsters.

Part of that number 20 is just not allowed!  We apologize to all the kitties out there about this post.  But for some reason, our humans think its funny.

Don’t Mess With Your Kitty

Mr. Puddy put out the invitation to have some fun and make a post about Don't Mess With Your Kitty!  On account he told about how he taught ‘em about messing with him!  He and his Mum has got several different colors of this way cool badge you gets to have in honor of hasing funs and telling your story!  They’re all so neat!  We just wuz them.  Well, we wuz Mr. Puddy pretty much too.  =^~^=

We picked us the one with the gray kitty.

Because…

This is Pungy.

She’s on the one table in the whole place we not supposed to gets on.  Trying to get CatDaddy Junior’s attention.

But CatDaddy Junior is trying to play his video game on his Xbox.   We’ve been told we not supposed to gets on the table on account that bees the one place our humans can put they fizzy sodas and chips.  We likes to play in their fizzy soda pops.  It’s fun trying to catch those bubbles and it tickles our noses.  Piewhackits especially likes it.  She and SneakyPie will steal chips, any kind of chips.  Odysseus just likes to lick all over them.  But Pungy, she just wuzes to lay on that table.  Piewhackits does too.  (If you notice real close, the picture of Piewhackits in our banner, she’s laying on this table.  You can’t see it as well, but Pungy is too.)  They especially like it on account it’s a great yes-you-are-too-gonna-attention-me spot.

CatDaddy Junior finally decided it was time to enforce the not-on-this-table law.

He was met with strong resistance.

But ultimately, he was successful.

Pungy, being our Pungy, disappeared after her defeat.  But we has to say, she took it like a cat.  Pungy is smart and learned a long time ago how to open doors – fur real.  She went straight away and got into CatDaddy Junior’s room.  Everything on his shelves over his desk she pushed off.  Then she got into his closet.  Everything she could get her paws on she pulled down or out.  She pulled down clothes off of their hangers and shoes out of boxes.  T-Shirts, handkerchiefs, and anything else on the closet shelves went into the floor.  She messed his closet up.  When she was all done, she hung out with her son, SneakyPie under the lamp.

Meanwhile, CatDaddy Junior discovered all the destruction in his closet!  He got sooooo upset!  Mumsy and CatDaddy didn’t have much to say.  That was on account they already know it’s best to NOT MESS WITH YOUR KITTY…especially if, around here, it’s Pungy!

I don’t guess we gotta tell you what we thought of it.  We thought…

…IT WAS FUNNY!  DON’T MESS WITH YOUR KITTY!

 

Mr. Puddy, we hope you, and everybody else, enjoys this as much as we did putting it together!  We sure did have us some fun.

Pea-Ess:  We wanna be sure and thank all our friends who purred and prayed for our CatDaddy.  Him, Mumsy, and all us Kwee Cats sure do wuz all you guys.  He got him a bad case of food poisoning for lunch.  Us, we would have ordered something else.  CatDaddy is feeling much better now.  We know it’s on account of all that super great purring.  So, thanks, everybody, you guys sure are wonderful.  :-)

Miss Duchess is a Senior Kitty!

What do you mean, we’re postponing my ManCat Moday???

We had big plans for how everything was going to go today, Monday.  We had SneakyPie’s ManCat Monday all ready to go.  Then we decided we needed to do something else,  (We’ll get to that in the next paragraph.)  Then CatDaddy was not feeling well.  He never gets sick.  That got all the Kwee Cats upset and Mumsy distracted from our blogginer for almost the whole day!

So, finally, here we are with what we decided on for today!  First off, we want to thank Sweet Momo.  She suggested our Miss Duchess check out the Kool Seniors Kitty Klub.

They so nice.  They fixed up this sidebar tag for our Miss Duchess, and just welcomed her big time to the Kool Seniors Kitty Klub.

Now, she’s so happy!  She just rolled around and Mewed all over the place!  We’ve never seen anyone be so happy about being 10 years old before!
