Thunderstorms on Friday

We had thunderstorms here complete with warnings and sirens and everything! All of us sat for a while in the downstairs bath that is under the stairs. Odysseus stayed glued to my son, and Oliver napped. He’s rarely bothered by much. Piewhackits, of course, found a toy to play with. Sirens wailing, storm winds blowing, and she finds a toy. She’s always been like that, she loves toys. But she made me think, no matter how bad it seems, she always finds a toy and plays, Oliver naps, and Odysseus just goes about being herself. Wonder if they could teach me to cook better too? :-D
Naturally, during tense times, I turn to my drawing. This is what came of waiting out this storm. I hope you enjoy it.
Thank you for visiting us. We hope you had a nice time, and come see us again. Hugs and love to all.

  1. Your drawing is delightful! What talent you have. My dad says when he was little he used to cower in a corner whenever it stormed, but as an adult he relishes them.

  2. We all act differently and cope differently with strange things and sounds. I know Mrs H acts differently to the same sound, sometimes.
Lovely drawing, and great you can focus at times of stress.

  4. Being that Mom is a F5 tornado survivor, we are happy that you find calm in your beautiful artwork and the distraction of Piewhackits's antics while weathering out that storm!

  14. Our storms are not as severe as yours, but I dread thunder and lightning. Flynn and I used to go to bed and hide under the quilt. Eric used to sit in the window and watch.
Your drawings are as lovely as I remember them.
