Thank You and Memorial for Our Domino

First, thank you all, our wonderful and dear Friends for all your love and kindness, thoughts, wishes and words.  It all helped far more than we could express, especially right now.  With teary eyes we’ve read memorial posts of friends, but never had any idea it’d be so hard for us to write one of our own.

Thank you Mrs. Ann (https://zoolatry.blogspot.com) for this wonderful image you made for us.  That she used some of my own art for the background made it all the more special.  Domino often snoopervised my artistic endeavors offering his opinions as I worked.

“No, really…it looks just like a tree."

Domino was a proud Cat Scout.  On days he was feeling good, he loved hanging out with his wonderful Brother and Sister Cat Scouts in his beloved Den, Raz’s Rumblers.

He and his brofur, Oliver were very close, even on days Domino was not feeling so good.  After earning his own Laserbeam Eyes Badge, he helped Oliver earn his too.

As Domino made his way to his Rainbow Bridge, Oliver sang The Song of His People to guide him.  Like Oliver, who joined us after Domino had, Domino was a stray that came to make his home here with us.  At about the same time Domino joined us, Schubert also joined us.  Schubert had run away from a terrible home where the humans were arrested for manufacturing meth.  Schubert’s health had been affected by the fumes.  But he was with us long enough to be very loved and a brother to Domino.  We have no doubt Schubert and many other friends were at the Bridge to welcome Domino and show him the way.

 He drooled over chick-hen till I finally just HAD to share mine with him.

He’d play Hide-N-Seek with his little sisfur, Piewhackits.

….and sometimes with me.

He was handsome, sweet, loving, and a most wonderful companion - good days and bad days, for either of us.

He had a cancer we could not do anything about.  My focus, especially in the past weeks, was on keeping him eating and as comfortable as I could.  After he left for the Bridge, I focused on tending to him and my son as we laid him to rest in a grave my son, Chris, dug for him on family land.  It was not until I began my going-to-bed routine and was refilling the big kibble bowl the kitties share that I really felt Domino’s absence.  As I scooped kibble into the dish, he’s always head-bump my arm spilling it all over the floor.  Friday night, no kibble was spilled and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

Domino was a lot of things to each of us.  Too much to even try and include it all here.  Missed is what he will always be - missed, and our Angel - Angel Domino KweeCat.  I believe he chose to go first so he’d be there to help show the rest of us the way.

Thank you everyone for visiting our memories here today.  We’ll share more in days to come - for now, just thank you.  Hugs and love to all our wonderful Friends.  Its amazing how empty life would be without you all, and without the fur-members of our families.

We Kwee Cats on Wednesday

The middle of the week seems to be a good time to catch up.  We want to share some of the stuff we’ve been up to lately.

First, Domino got his Yoga Merit Badge in Cat Scouts.  He’s doing his “Nose Gently Kissing Tail in Westward Setting Puddle of Sun” move that he practiced till he got it perfect for the Yoga Badge.  And, as you can see, he’s on his preferred mat of paper that makes a very nice crinkle sound.

 

And Pungy got her Family Love Merit Badge by writing a poem to Mumsy.

 

Next, we won this awesome prize from Sammy and his Tuesday Teaser event.

There were some other prizes, but they weren’t as good as this one….yup.  If you’d like to play too, Sammy has one each Tuesday on his blog, One Spoiled Cat. You should totally go check it out.  Unless, for some reason you don’t like prizes….hmmmmmm, we’d never thought of that possibility before.

And we got a Mumsy drawing to share!  She did this for a Challenge in her Sketch Club.

Domino's Mancat Monday

Hi Friends!  It’s Domino time :-)

Happy Mancat Monday everyone.  This is the look I use to say, “Now, Mom, you know you can’t eat all that chick-hen.  You may as well hand some over now and just be done with it."

Domino, Today

Yes, wonderful Friends, it is Domino, Today!  And it isn’t even Mancat Monday.  Wow, are we behind in blog visiting and just about everything else.  But, you see, I had (or rather, “we” had) to sort out Mumsy.  Dear Friends, she kept her Art stuff packed away in the corner of the living room.  And, I’ll spare you the gory details, but suffice it to say, it made for a grumpy Mumsy to always have to pack and unpack her Art-making things every time she wanted to work on her….stuff.  And, as we all know, a grumpy Mumsy is not conducive to getting treats.  So, I (Ugh, “we”) had to fix it.  I spent several days snoopervising the clearing out of two-thirds of Mumsy’s room so she could put all her Art-making stuff in there and set herself up a sort of creative space.

Here I am slaving away.  This yellow table was used by her Daddy to hold photo developing equipment.  Now, she draws and watercolors on it.

Here I am helping her place it in her new creative space.

I was also hard at work on my Cat Scout activities.  I am very pleased and proud to be the first of the Kwee Cats to earn the Laser Eyes Merit Badge.  Here, I show off my efforts.

This watercolor is before the Creative Space I helped Mumsy, ummmm, create.  But, it’s still pretty creative.  Careful Fur-Friends you don’t scorch your paws when catching this Butter-Fly-Fire!  Mumsy and I hope you like it.

The Day After

We hope all of you had a super happy Thanksgiving.  This year, we are very thankful for all of our wonderful friends.  Each one of you means a lot to us.  There have been some truly dark days that you have brightened for us.  Thank you.

But, today we celebrate the day after Thanksgiving the best way we know how.  Domino will demonstrate.

And since Thanksgiving is officially done, we guess the turkey can go back to chillaxing.

Domino does today's Post.

We been working our way back, slowly but surely. It seems Mumsy forgot a lot on how to do some of this stuff. We guess it really is true that if you don't use it, you will lose it.

Domino won't be losing this box, on account of him using it - frequently.

 

Boxes will always be wuzzed as long as there are cats...and there will always be cats.

In her Art Therapy, last month Mumsy worked on Blue Flowers. We think she just likes getting to color.

Tuxedo Window Whiffies

Whew! We still having posting problems! When we tried to do this post earlier, it came out all wrong. When we tried to fix it, we kept getting errors from Blogger :-( We ended up having to just delete it and now we trying again!

We doing a Tuxedo Gang Hideout post with two of our tuxedos. Odysseus is up in the window and Domino is trying to whiff around her since he can't whiff through her.

We Got the Sweetest Friends

 

Hi ev-furry-body!

We sure are glad for when we get to visit with our friends.  Like so many families, we just got to be patient with our humans sometimes.  Our Mumsy talks about “human stuff” on her Blogginer.  This one is ours and we are ready to give some attentions!

A couple of our friends were real interested in our Waterfall and our Bridge.  So, we thought first we’d share some fun…

Thank you, everyone over at Katnip Lounge for the big check you gave us for your personalized copy of the Bridge.  Odysseus is happy to deliver yours, personally!  We hope you enjoy your new Bridge!

Next, Mr. Pip wanted a Bridge too.  We will always accept the green currency – catnip!  But we want you, Mr. Pip, to enjoy the Peanut Butter Bones Treats!  You’re a great guy, take such good care of your family, and you sure deserve them.

Father Tom wanted a waterfall to go with his beach.  We threw in the little froggies just for good measure!  We hope you enjoy it!

Then our great friend Brian really wanted a waterfall too.  We’ve been looking for something nice we could do for him.  He does so much good for so many.  We pawed up a waterfall and surrounded it with catnip just for you!  We sure hope you enjoy it, Brian, you’re a great guy.

Now we saved the last ones for the best ones….

Wonderful Mr. Puddy and wonderful Mr. Clooney both gave us…Tada!  The Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award!  It’s our first Award and we got excited!  Thank you, Mr. Puddy and Mr. Clooney, so much!  We think you guys are just the best.

Now, we been thinking of doing something for Mr. Puddy and for Mr. Clooney ever since Bora Bora day… soooooooo…..

Back on Bora Bora day, it looked like Mr. Clooney wasn’t going to get to go on account he’d missed his boat.  So, for Mr. Clooney, the Kwee Mancats gots the NipAle!  We sure hope it makes you smile as much as you make us smile.  Thank you, Mr. Clooney!

Also back on Bora Bora day, our little hearts were sad Mr,. Puddy didn’t get to share in all the yum-yum shrimps… soooooo….. Just for you, Mr. Puddy, bunches and bunches of shrimps!  Some on the grill and some boiled up ready to go!  We sure hope you enjoy them and that they make you smile as much as you make us smile.  Thank you, Mr. Puddy !

And gosh, 7 things you don’t know about us???

1. Oliver snores!

2. Sneaky Pie likes to lick the cheese off of Doritos.

3. Piewhackits likes to play with the bubbles in soda pop.

4. Odysseus really is afraid of her shadow.

5. Domino drools when he’s asleep.

6. Pungy’s name is Liddy Pung and she likes to Mommy Mumsy.

7. Miss Duchess has a little brown spot between two of her white furred fingers.  When she first decided to live here, Mumsy thought it was dirt and kept trying to wash the brown spot off!

Our 15 friends to pass the award on to… gosh, we don’t want to have to pick only 15 out of all our friends!  We wuz all you guys!  So we gonna do what Mr. Puddy said and follow the Cat’s Rule… we give this award to ALL our friends – we wuz you – friends like all you guys are just the… Sweetest.

Everybody have a Happy Weekend!

 

Well, Piewhackits got hers a headache from bumping against the window trying to catch the big red bird in the backyard.  Oliver had him a big week meowing through the door to the cats in the outside.   Domino, for the first time, got into the basket that’s on top of the shelves!  And Pungy cleaned out the refrigerator.  No, really she did.  While Mumsy was cooking, Pungy helped herself to some leftovers on the bottom shelf.  That’s how our week is wrapping up  here at our house.  And we gotta say, we sure are glad this week is wrapped!

Tuxie Tuesday, Our First

Today we bees doing our first Tuxie-Tuxedo Tuesday. We Kwee Cats has two Tuxedo Cats :-)

First, we has Domino. He is second oldest. Duchess is our oldest. Domino is our kitty family patriarch and statesman. If one of our kitty squabbles bumps into him, he settles it just real quick. We wuz our Domino :-)








Next we has Odysseus. She's a girl. She bees one of Pungy's kittens. (Sneaky Pie and Piewhackits are the other two.) When she was first born-ded, silly Mumsy thought Odysseus was a baby Tom. Pungy and her babies stayed in the upstairs bathroom. Odysseus was the Explorer and firstest one to come alls the way down the stairs by herselfs. On account of such exploring bravery, she gots her name. When Mumsy figured out later she was a girl, her name still stuck! Names are funny like that.
